Wendy has been building the vision for YUM since she arrived in the Bay Area from Arizona in 2004. Her concentration in womens wellness, social harmony, and ecofeminism has led her through projects that range from indigenous sacred site preservation to seed propogation, community organizing and cultural exchanges to grassroots communications, and childbirth to shabbat candle-lighting. She brings these passions and expertise together to Young Urban Moshav.

Communications and Development
Award-winning Multi-Media producer, Jewish educator and consultant, Lorelai is a seasoned busines development coach. Broadcasting the radio station she founded, Radio-Free Nachlaot, from Nachlaot and Berkeley, Lorelai is a living bridge. Her show Heart-to-Heart has an array of interviews with fascinating people, of interest to Jewish and non-Jewish people in Berkeley, Israel and across the globe. Lorelai brings her communications business Mitzvah Media into YUM to support the organization as a whole but also the members of our network of professionals.
We are thrilled to welcome Kim and her daughter Ma'ayan to the Bay Area as Kim has began her post in December 2013 as Development Director for Jewish Learning works in San Francisco! An accomplished Resource and Program Development Director, Kim Bistrong ha managing programming and development components in Jewish non-profits in the United States and Israel. With a Masters in Cinema Studies (NYU) and Modern Jewish Studies (JTS), she is an experienced cultural director of Jewish themed media programs and cultural expressions reflecting the changing dynamics of the American Jewish experience. In Israel, she launched Davka Tofu, a unique design of prepared soy based products. .
CSA Farm Intern
Hawk is currently working on some local yardscapes, surveying needs and planning out raised garden beds to bring into our upcoming residential CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture proect). He's available for landscaping, garden planning, and garden maintenance during YUM's initial stages.
